While the Supreme Court and scholars have noted the particular issues raised when determining the religious sincerity of shareholders’ claims, to date no court has engaged systematically with the question of whose religious sincerity should be attributed to the corporation when shareholders hold heterogeneous or diverse religious beliefs.  Panelists will discuss when some of the shareholders of an entity hold strong religious views that are divergent from other shareholders’ views and the legal consequences presented.  A lively discussion is expected during the hour. 

The program is pending one hour of wellness credit with the Illinois MCLE Board and Professionalism Commission.
