I Was A Stranger and You Welcomed Me: A Discussion of Migration from the Catholic Perspective

Friday, March 10, 2023  | 12 –1 pm CT
Virtual program via Zoom

One hour of meeting credit is pending.

Join CLG for a lunchtime CLE program. Dr. Dario Dzananovic, a judicial law clerk at the Illinois Appellate Court in Chicago, will lead the group through a discussion and presentation centered around Migration from the Catholic Perspective.

Program Description:
Migration is a theme that pervades not only scripture, but also various ecclesiastical texts published by the Catholic church over the years, and continues to take center stage in Pope Francis's calls to action.  In an era of mass migration and response by faith communities, it is appropriate to explore how the migrant is treated in church documents and by church leaders. This program provides an overview of Catholic social teaching regarding the migrant and migration and discusses a Catholic’s obligations toward migrants.

Registration is required to attend. Zoom meeting link will be sent to all registrants one day prior to event.
